Football to no longer play other NSD high schools
I often hesitated writing sports features for Nordic because it tended to be repetitive. As we joke in the staff, we write about how our team lost BUT they have a lot of spirit and love for each other. For this sports feature story, however, I was drawn by the uniqueness. Many people assumed that the reasoning behind the demotion of our football team was that we were simply just "bad". However after interviewing the coaches and the players, I came to the understanding that there was more to it than simply lack of skill. I had to keep all assumptions I had about the team out of the story, and working with my partner helped both of us maintain that.
